Do you need SAT's for CSU's!?!?

I live in San Jose, CA and I want to go to San Jose State University. My CSU/UC GPA is a 3.5 and I want to major in business...and I've heard that if you have a 3.x GPA then you do not need to submit SAT scores...is that true?
