Will scars affect modeling?

I have about 7 horizontal scars on my right upper thigh that were self-inflicted when I was about 10. I'm fine now, started seeing a therapist and have not done it in 2 years. I'm trying to start modeling now, and i'm wondering if the scars will affect my chances? if so, is there any way to completely remove them? They still haven't faded away after 5 years since they were too deep. Quite a few have faded about I still have about 7-10 that are still visible.
